Versatile Alice in Wonderland Boxed DIY Die-Cut Greeting Card Set
More Alice
Blank Note Cards & Stationery
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was written by the Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dogson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. Published in 1865, the book tells the story of a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy land populated by all sorts of bizarre and troubled creatures.
The book is fraught with satirical allusions, and is one of the most striking examples of the genre of nonsense literature. The drawings for the book (and the wonderful cards in this set set) are by famed illustrator John Tenniel.
And so it becomes curiouser and curiouser! Each set includes eight die-cut blank note cards. Alice, the Red Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter and, of course the White Rabbit - two of each and four fun sticker sheets for you to create your own greeting card - with traditional sentiments like Happy Birthday and also such Alice-isms as Curiouser and Curiouser and more. Write away!
These would be fantastic for creating invitations to an Alice in Wonderland party, too!

Hand Watercolored Greeting Card - Some Kind of Mission (Rabbi Makito)
More Note Cards

More Hanukah
SilverCrow Creations is proud to offer this wonderful work of art that disguises itself as a note card! Created by J.Stone Cards, one by one, each card measures 3-3/4 by 7-1/4 inches, and is individually hand painted in watercolor on elegant 100% cotton cream colored card stock with a matching envelope.
Such an elegant card was created for the holidays, but might be used for any occasion. The inside presents "a short holiday message as told by Jane Stone":
"Some Kind of Mission" Last Saturday evening, Rabbi Yashita Makito beckoned to a group of carolers from the tiny balcony where she was standing, above the courtyard of her handbuilt brick synagogue in Ardglass, North Ireland. Rabbi Makito is well known throughout Ardglass, for her gentle spirit is like fresh snowflakes falling on bamboo shoot. The caroling villagers saw her and came at once into the courtyard - quietly gathering closer to await her holiday greeting. "Greeting" she said to them, leaning down over the veranda rail (she always spoke just barely above the whisper of young rabbit breath.) "Now remember, if Christmas gets too messy, eat it over the sink." Rabbi Makito (and her keen sensibility) nourishes my vision of peace on earth.

Greeting Box - Best Wishes - Open Me!
More Weddings & Anniversaries
More Retirement
Happy Birthday Box
This charming paper box is with a vintage image of shooting stars circling the box - so many for making wishes! We tried to research the term Best Wishes, with no success.
In contemplating the phrase, at first it seems so clichéd. But, what better to offer someone than the best - and the best of their desires. It is no wonder that Best Wishes is what one offers to a bride, when her groom commands Congratulations.
For a special friend, you might even consider, writing a wish you intend to fulfill on the back of each of the disks!
When the lucky recipient examines the Alice in Wonderland Open Me tag, and pulls - the box top opens and one letter at a time (printed on scalloped paper discs) appears - spelling out Best Wishes! The letters are joined together with bright red ribbon. The box itself measures 3-1/2 inches in diameter and 1-1/2 inch tall. And - it can be passed along as a special surprise for someone else as well - over and so on and so on.
Based on Victorian paper treasures of long ago, we're sure you'll love giving or sending this to anyone for just about any occasion.

Happy Birthday - a voice, a self, a soul. (woman at mirror)
From KOCO NY, this square greeting card offers a birthday philosophy for someone who is dear and very special to you (and lots of others!):
a voice, a self, a soul.
I am a woman. Sometimes I am called a girl. I am myself. I believe in the everyday. I wonder
about the beginning of time. And if thoughts have colors. I value people, & feelings I look for hidden meanings. I try to see both sides. I often think that life is like poetry. That I worry too much.
That I haven't taken enough risks. I cherish stolen moments.
The spaces between the lines. I sing out loud with the radio. The blues. Because I have a voice. I can create A reality within myself. I believe in the spiritual nature of all life. I am I. I am. And, inside:
for all that you see in yourself & others, happy birthday

Happy Birthday - i believe in cobalt blue
More Picasso
From KOCO NY, this square greeting card offers a birthday philosophy of the color blue - as well as thoughts from Picasso:
Color has a musical quality. Always interacting with adjacent tones, the sound of blue will change right before your eyes. The color of an object depends both on physics and laws of perception: it is both measureable as reflected light and contextual as an experience. The blues is a kind of sound, a series of moods and a range of hues. Colors in relation to each other are a dynamic demonstration of reality unfolding. Art is an aesthetic act; blue is one of its movements. Egyptian blue, indigo blue, true blue, rhythm & blues. "When I don't have red, I use blue." - Picasso i believe in cobalt blue.

Die Cut Nietzsche Flexible Greeting Card
Send your favorite epigrams to a friend with our die-cut Nietzsche greeting card! Comes with an envelope and a sticker sheet filled with traditional messages like Happy Birthday and Happy Mother's Day as well as quotes from Nietzsche, such as:
Shared Joys make a friend, not shared sufferings.
One should never know too precisely whom one has married!
If you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back at you.
Nietzsche was proud of being an unsystematic philosopher. When he philosophized at all it was with a hammer (hence a hammer illustration is included) - to break down what he called brittle thoughts. Nietzsche is better described as an anti-moralist who passionately rejected Western bourgeois civilization. He regarded Christianity as decadent, and in place of its slave morality he looked to the Übermensch, a heroic and noble individual who would consciously affirm life and whose will to power would set him apart from the herd of humanity.
Nietzsche's signature and some other special illustrations are also included on the sticker sheet.

Happy Birthday - i heart subjectivity.
From KOCO NY, this square greeting card offers a birthday philosophy that is good advice for anytime:
Subjectivism is the idea that all knowledge is restricted to the conscious self and its sensory states. It's a theory stating that the only valid standard of judgment is that of the individual. An objective truth is different than a subjective truth. T? F? The sky is blue. T? F? My experience of what happened is the same as "what happened." T? F? Artistic expression emerges from a person's inner world, not the external world. Hold on to subjective experience.
i heart subjectivity.
it's your strong inner voice that has the outer world come alive happy birthday

Happy Birthday - i work for what's real.
From KOCO NY, this square greeting card offers a birthday philosophy that questions being and reality, or does it?
what is reality? how do we know what's real? is a flower more real than the idea of a flower? realism, as a modern philosophical notion, is the idea that physical objects exist independently of their being perceived. is a social worker's reality more real than a painter's reality. is it possible for something to be real & not have a physical existence? is reality really only about literal truths, non-fictions, & actual happenings or is there a reality within each of us as human beings? as les mccann once said to eddie harris, "try to make it real compared to what?"
to the possibilities you bring into reality (& into my life) happy birthday
